Overview

The K-12 / Schools sub-sector K-12 includes schools that provide education to students, prior to college. K-12 school grades include kindergarten (K) and grades through 1st to 12th (1-12).

Skilled in preparing the daily and longer-term lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines
Proficient in organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
Ability to motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation and stories
Proficient in preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
Skilled in meeting requirements for the assessment and recording pupils’ development
Ability to discuss students’ progress and concerns with parents and academic co-ordinators
Skilled in keeping up-to-date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Proficient in organizing and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place in the school
Skilled in encouraging the students to learn new things and participating in extra co-curriculum activities
Proficient in using computers to assist with lesson preparation, teaching and reporting
Skilled in developing and maintaining good working habits and discipline in classrooms
