The tasks a Technician, Telecommunication is expected to perform include:

Receiving instructions regarding work to be done and guiding workers in installation, operation and maintenance of television, telegraph, telephones and other equipment
Studying standing duty charts, sketches, blue prints, etc, and determining methods of work to be adopted
Calculating data by original observations or from available sources
Drawing necessary stores and guiding workers in correct manufacture and assembly of units, alignments, synchronizing, tuning, continuity, voltage control, output, etc
Checking work during manufacture, repair or installation and on completion
Undertaking complicated work to avoid mistakes
Training workers by performing actual demonstration
